Product description
The bundle consists of:
- Control box for opening/closing the air valves. The valves can be controlled in groups, up to 5 valves per group. The control box needs to be operated by a GPS section controller or another control panel, which is not included in the set.
- Since 2018, air-supported valves have been installed. This means only 4W power per section is required to operate them.
- 50 meters of air hose with a diameter of 8 millimeters, T-connectors, and right-angle connectors for connection to the air system, pressure regulator, and pressure gauge.
- Compact valve
Slootsmid chooses in-house development for the valve because it needs to withstand the forces exerted by the tines in the soil without becoming excessively large. To achieve this, a tube with strongly conical ends is mounted between two sleeves, also with conical ends. A rubber hose is clamped between the conical ends.
Closing mechanism
The rubber hose forms the inner lining of the tube. On the tube itself is a connector to attach an 8 millimetre air hose. A valve between the
tube and the compressor puts air pressure on the outside of the rubber hose, closing off the section.
Quickly open and close sections
It is important to also be able to release the pressure quickly so that the section opens again. With many existing valves, opening takes a long
time. That is precisely what this system excels at. The shut-off valves can be connected to either a 12 or 24 volt system.
