Slootsmid Slurry Tanks – Maximum efficiency, optimal ground pressure and reliable capacity
The Slootsmid Solid and Sigma slurry tanks are designed for farmers who require maximum efficiency and dependable performance. Thanks to their smart construction, wide range of configuration options and low ground pressure, these tanks offer a future-proof solution for slurry application.
Our compact and highly manoeuvrable tanks handle easily, even in tight field layouts or around the yard. Their intelligent design ensures optimal weight distribution, reducing ground pressure while maintaining excellent stability in all working conditions. Both the Solid and Sigma can be equipped with various options, including vacuum and pump units, turbo filler, suction arm, pressure exchange system, ISOBUS control, load-sensing pumps and multiple tyre configurations.
Slootsmid Solid Tank – Compact, powerful and versatile
The Slootsmid Solid is the most compact tank in the range and engineered for maximum manoeuvrability. Available in three versions – Solid V (vacuum pump), Solid W (screw pump) and Solid L (lobe pump) – the Solid Tank offers capacities of 10,000, 12,500 or 14,000 litres.
Key features of the Solid Tank:
-
Low centre of gravity for stable driving behaviour
-
Compact design ideal for manoeuvring around yards, silage pits or narrow fields
-
Available with turbo filler, suction arms, flow meter, air-exchange system, ISOBUS
-
Optional tyre pressure regulation system to structurally reduce ground pressure
-
Suitable for both vacuum application and pump-unit operation
-
Wide selection of tyres and wheel options for optimal soil protection
Choosing the Solid means selecting a reliable, compact tank with a strong and durable base construction.
Slootsmid Sigma Tank – Larger capacity, low ground pressure and maximum performance
The Slootsmid Sigma is the larger and more robust model within the Slootsmid tank range. Its load-bearing chassis, well-balanced weight distribution and spacious wheel housings ensure excellent stability and driving comfort, even at higher volumes. The Sigma is available with a 13,500-litre vacuum pump (Sigma V) or a 6,000-litre lobe pump (Sigma L).
Sigma Tanks are available in 10,000, 12,500 and 14,000-litre capacities.
Key features of the Sigma Tank:
-
Large frame and load-bearing construction for maximum stability
-
Suitable for heavy-duty application systems
-
Designed for low ground pressure with large tyres and wide wheel housings
-
Extensive option list including turbo filler, cutting filter, suction arm, flow meter, ISOBUS and air-exchange system
-
Available with tandem or tridem axle configuration
-
Fully compatible with drag hose applicators and arable injectors
The Sigma is ideal for farms and contractors who need to transport and apply large volumes with maximum hectare capacity.

What are the main differences between the Solid and Sigma slurry tanks?
Both the Solid and Sigma tanks are robust and compact, but they differ in capacity, axle configuration, and application.
Solid: Single-axle, 10,000–14,000 litres. Lightweight, highly manoeuvrable and ideal for smaller fields or tight farmyards.
Sigma: Tandem-axle, 16,500–20,500 litres. More comfort and stability thanks to a steered rear axle and suspension. Designed for more intensive operation.
Both models are available as vacuum or pump tanker versions and can be equipped with a wide range of options.
In short: Solid = compact and manoeuvrable. Sigma = powerful and comfortable.
Can a Slootsmid slurry tank be equipped with a suction arm, turbo macerator or cutting filter?
Yes. Both the Solid and Sigma slurry tanks are fully configurable with options such as suction arms, turbo macerators, cutting filters, flow meters, ISOBUS control, slurry feed pumps and pressure-exchange systems.
This allows every tank to be tailored exactly to your working method and operational requirements.
What is the advantage of a slurry tank with low ground pressure?
Low ground pressure prevents soil structure damage, improves load-bearing capacity and reduces rutting, especially under wetter conditions.
Thanks to large tyres, wide wheel wells and optional tyre pressure control systems, Slootsmid Solid and Sigma tanks achieve optimal weight distribution, allowing you to work safely and efficiently in all field conditions.
Can I combine a Slootsmid slurry tank with any type of applicator?
Yes. Slootsmid slurry tanks are designed for universal attachment.
They can be used with grassland injectors, arable injectors, drag hose applicators or row injectors, depending on your specific application.
In addition, almost every Slootsmid applicator can be configured for drag hose operation.
What tank capacities are available?
Capacity depends on the model:
Solid slurry tank: 8, 10, 12, 14 and 15 m³
Sigma slurry tank: 16.5 – 18.5 – 20 m³
This ensures there is always a tank size that matches your farm scale, slurry volumes and required daily capacity.
