A manure separator does what its name suggests: it separates manure into a thin and a thick fraction. Because the thin fraction contains a lot of nitrogen and the thick fraction contains a lot of phosphate, you can retain nitrogen on the farm and remove phosphate. This allows for tailored fertilization of fields and crops. A manure separator should therefore aim to get as much phosphate out of the manure and into the smallest possible amount of thick fraction. One way to achieve this is through a high separation efficiency: the volume of liquid manure that ends up in the thick fraction. For this, we collaborate with GEA.

The widest sod injector from Slootsmid is the SZB 940 Profi, which has a working width of 940 cm. The widest arable land injector is 810 cm.

The manuals contain essential and up-to-date information about your machine. By following the instructions, you ensure safe operation, correct settings, and a longer service life of your Slootsmid machine. This helps prevent problems that may arise from incorrect use.

A standard warranty of 6 months applies after delivery, provided that maintenance and operation have been carried out according to the manual. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects but becomes void in cases of improper use or incorrect maintenance.

The user manual provides clear guidelines for adjusting each model. These include soil pressure settings, coulter closures, and the unfolding speed of the arms. Proper adjustment prevents unnecessary wear and ensures optimal nutrient distribution.

For regular use:

• Daily: Clean the distributor and lubricate the distributor hub.
• Weekly: Grease all lubrication points and check bolts, chains, and hydraulic hoses.
• Every 6–8 operating hours: Inspect bearings and hinge points (depending on the model).

For storage:

• Thoroughly clean and preserve the machine.
• Generously grease all moving parts and bearings.
• Inspect and replace wear-sensitive parts, such as hydraulic hoses (at least every 6 years).
• Store the machine in a dry, safe environment.

Both the Solid and Sigma tanks are robust and compact, but they differ in capacity, axle configuration, and application.

Solid: Single-axle, 10,000–14,000 litres. Lightweight, highly manoeuvrable and ideal for smaller fields or tight farmyards.

Sigma: Tandem-axle, 16,500–20,500 litres. More comfort and stability thanks to a steered rear axle and suspension. Designed for more intensive operation.

Both models are available as vacuum or pump tanker versions and can be equipped with a wide range of options.

Yes. Almost every Slootsmid arable land injector can be supplied as an umbilical applicator. The machine is then equipped with a drag hose, swivel couplings and full compatibility with a pump unit and hose reel. This results in lower ground pressure and higher capacity on arable land.

An umbilical system is a slurry application setup in which slurry is pumped directly to the applicator through a hose and pump unit. This eliminates the need for a heavy slurry tanker to drive across the field. The system is chosen to prevent soil compaction, reduce field load and allow earlier spreading under wetter conditions.
