Drag Hose Injector

Almost every Slootsmid injector can be configured as a drag hose injector. The grassland or arable land injector is then equipped with a drag hose boom, and Slootsmid can supply it as a complete drag hose system, including pump unit and hose reels. The main advantage of a drag hose injector is that it operates with a much lighter combination, significantly reducing the risk of soil damage or compaction. Even under wet conditions, the field remains more accessible, without compromising on capacity or performance.

Product description

Robust Construction

Every Slootsmid grassland or arable land injector can also be configured as a drag hose injector, with the option of a single or double drag hose boom. The drag hose boom is an integral part of the main frame, ensuring an even distribution of forces and preventing stress on the injector during operation.

The boom offers a rotation range of 180° (SK–SZB–SGB–SB) or 255° (SV–SVDV), providing excellent maneuverability at the headlands and ensuring smooth and efficient handling in the field.

Sgb Korte Buis 1536x864Sgb Lange Buis 1536x864Pump Units for Drag Hose Systems

Slootsmid pump units are specially designed for drag hose slurry application systems. These units are largely custom-built to meet individual customer requirements and are available with a wide range of options and configurations.

In their simplest form, the pump units consist of a single pump mounted in the three-point linkage, but they can also be built on a fixed chassis if desired. Depending on your needs, the units can be equipped with various options such as a cutting filter, generator, platform with loading ramps for an ATV, or different types of pumps.

Frequently asked questions

For which situations or farms is a drag hose system most suitable?

A drag hose system is ideal for farms and contractors applying slurry with high capacity and low soil pressure. The lighter combination reduces compaction and allows application under wetter conditions. It is particularly suited for larger fields located close to the slurry store or intermediate pumping point.

How do I determine the right working width for my farm?

The right working width depends on your fields, tractor power, and capacity requirements.

Large, straight fields → wider injector = higher capacity.
Small or irregular fields → compact injector = better manoeuvrability.

Always match the working width to your slurry tank or drag hose system.
Our specialists are happy to advise you on the width that best suits your operation.

What are the main advantages of drag hose application?

Drag hose application reduces soil compaction since no heavy tank travels over the field. This protects soil structure and extends the application window. In addition, the system enables higher capacity because slurry is supplied continuously through the hose.
