SK-2 Grassland injector

The SK-2 grassland injector is a robust slit coulter slurry injector, the ideal injector for the dairy farmer. This grassland injector has been available since 1993 and over 2,000 of them have now been produced. The SK slurry injector is available with working widths from 420 cm to 660 cm. The slurry injector is built to be strong and durable and has few wear parts, giving it a long service life with low maintenance costs.

Well thought-out construction

The SK grassland injector has a carefully considered main frame design constructed of special steel and therefore has a low unladen weight. Due to the track and ground following elements, this liquid fertiliser injector requires little pulling power, resulting in lower fuel consumption.

Good distribution

The Slootsmid distributor is placed high and ensures precise and optimal distribution over the entire working width. Together with the unique continuous hoses with steel spiral and 50 mm inner diameter, this ensures perfect flow and prevents blockages. The injector can optionally be equipped with hydraulic shut-offs and can be fitted with central or automatic lubrication.

Optimal slurry utilisation

Thanks to the narrow disc, the slurry injector enters the soil well with little pressure, even under the toughest conditions. The slender coulter makes a rectangular slot, and the unique rubber discharge nozzle ensures good filling of the furrow without splashing. This ensures shallow injection of all the fertilisers, where they are put to optimal use.

The slurry outlets of the element are spaced at 20 cm intervals, and the pre-cutting discs are fitted with greaseable bearings. The element reduces the number of pivot points, resulting in reduced wear and savings on maintenance costs.

The elements are suspended on maintenance-free, track-and-ground-following pivots. The elements have a disc diameter of 250 mm. Elements are fitted with pre-cutting discs, coulter blades and automatic coulter valves.

Universal linkage

As standard, the SK slurry injector is fitted with a Slootsmid 3- or 4-point linkage, making it easy to hitch and unhitch. The slurry injector can be fitted behind almost any brand and type of tanker.

If you prefer an injector with DUO elements, take a look at the Slootsmid SZB Injector. This is available with a 250 mm thin disc or with a convex disc.

Frequently asked questions

What are the main differences between the SZB-2 and SK-2?

The SK-2 and SZB-2 are very similar in basic design: both are durable grassland injectors with good slurry distribution, low draft requirement and a strong construction.

The SK-2 is lighter and simpler, ideal for regular use.
The SZB-2 is heavier, equipped with duo elements, has a smaller row spacing (18 cm) and is designed for more intensive use and larger fields.

In short: the SZB-2 is the more advanced, heavier version of the SK-2. For intensive applications, the SZB-2 is often the better choice: for standard farm use, the SK-2 is sufficient.

How do I determine the right working width for my farm?

The correct working width depends on field size, tractor power and desired capacity.

Large, straight fields → wider injector = more capacity.
Smaller or irregular fields → compact injector = better manoeuvrability.

The working width should always match the slurry tank or drag hose system.
Our specialists are happy to advise you on the best configuration for your farm.

What is the weight of the different versions?

The SK-2 injector is available in several versions. Weight varies by working width:
SK 420-2 (4.20 m): 1,010 kg
SK 500-2 (5.00 m): 1,200 kg
SK 620-2 (6.20 m): 1,430 kg
SK 660-2 (6.60 m): 1,525 kg
